Nicole Craanen, NCIDQ
Nicole is an experienced NCIDQ commercial designer with a Masters in Fine Arts degree in biophilic design. She has an interest in the health and well-being of life as it relates to the effects of architecture and design. Nicole has the LEED Green Associate and WELL AP credentials as well as serving as the Living Building Challenge Collaboration ambassador and facilitator for Milwaukee. She also provides biophilic design consult to designers and material and furniture manufacturers through her consulting firm Rooted In Nature. Nicole draws inspiration from international travel, photography, hiking and backpacking.
Alexia Chen, AIA
Alexia is an project architect at LGA. She is passionate about creating a better world through the built environment. With a background in the arts, she has an eye for design, but strives for a balance between functionality, environmental impact, and user experience. You may have known her as the project manager of the award-winning UNLV Solar Decathlon 2013 project. More recently, Alexia became a co-facilitator for the Living Building Challenge Collaborative in Southern Nevada, a branch group for the International Living Future Institute, with a mission to revitalize the local enthusiasm for environmental design.
